About David King

David has spent years cultivating a diverse set of skills and experiences that he believes can contribute positively to the Toowoomba community as a council member.

David's academic background as a Master of Applied Linguistics has allowed him to establish meaningful connections with various ethnic and multicultural groups both locally and globally. He completed his studies in 2017 and holds a Bachelor's degree in International Studies.

His involvement with the University of Southern Queensland for more than 10 years as both a student and a tutor has provided him with valuable insights into the education sector, a pivotal cornerstone of any thriving community.

Additionally, David takes great pride in his recent application for further education, a testament to his dedication to continuous learning and personal growth. Having worked within a branch of the Queensland Government, David possesses a deep understanding of State and Government policies and procedures.

This experience has provided him with insights into the inner workings of governance, enabling him to contribute effectively and efficiently to the development and execution of strategies that benefits the Toowoomba council.

As a dedicated husband and father, David is well-versed in the art of collaboration and teamwork. He firmly believes that the council's success lies in fostering an environment where every voice is heard and respected.
